The launch was marked by a meeting between Chile’s Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, Ximena Lincolao, and the organizations forming Quantum Hub Chile. The conversation focused on the real challenges and opportunities that define where Chile stands today — and what it will take to advance.
These are not abstract questions. They concern investment priorities, technical talent pipelines, research infrastructure, and the frameworks needed to translate scientific knowledge into deployable technology. The involvement of the Ministry of Science signals that quantum development is now a matter of national policy, not only academic interest.
What Quantum Hub Chile Is
Quantum Hub Chile is an open ecosystem initiative — deliberately inclusive by design. It is structured to bring together universities, private companies, research institutes, and government in a shared effort to advance quantum technologies in Chile.
The scope is broad: quantum computing, quantum communications, and critically for our work at SeQure Quantum, post-quantum cryptography and quantum hardware. The Hub is not a closed club or a single-institution program. It is a coordination structure for an ecosystem that is still being built.
This is precisely the kind of institutional architecture that makes the difference between isolated breakthroughs and systemic capability.

As the first quantum hardware development company in Latin America, SeQure Quantum brings a specific and necessary perspective to this initiative: that of a technology builder operating at the hardware layer.
